“The Town of Sodus Historical Society was founded in 2015.

The mission of the society is:

To collect, preserve and exhibit records, writings, historical items and artifacts;
To preserve and disseminate information in the field of history connected with the Sodus township;

To serve the educational and cultural needs of the Sodus township;

To support the  housing of local history in the historical section/Ruth B Mills Room in the Sodus Community Library;

To support the preservation of historic structures,sites and monuments.”
