This video was taken at the “Spirits of Sodus Walk and Talk” Cemetery Tour on October 19, 2024. Here Kyle Pickering tells the story of Edward William Sentell’s life (1806 – 1892). He built the original Sodus Point Lighthouse, owned a mill and other businesses in the hamlet of Maxwell, and was an assemblyman. Sentell Street was named after him. Sentell Street is a dead-end street in Sodus Point, west from Route 14 (Fitzhugh St.) with Seaman St. branching off to the north to Lake Rd.
