Found the attached photo in the archives the other day. I think this is really “cool”. It’s the A. B. Williams Store in 1890. It was on the north-west corner of West Main and Maple Avenue. My generation knew it as the Ben Franklin Five and Ten run by Fred Elmer and later David Hollebrandt. I worked there during the Summer of ’67 after I graduated from high school along with my classmate, Cindy Doyle. The ladies who worked there and trained us were Genevieve DeJohn, Martha Miner, Vi (can’t remember last name), Cora (again can’t remember last name), and Esther Camp.
